History | River Oaks

cokerWilbert and Jackie Coker donated the 61.5 acres that make up River Oaks to the South Carolina District of the Assemblies of God in 1968 when they returned from a children's camp where they served as camp counselors. They were so inspired by their experience that they wanted their own beautiful forested riverside property to serve as a summer camp where children's lives would be changed.

The camp has recently expanded to serve as a year-round facility for people of all ages, and the name was changed from Assembly Acres to River Oaks.
